I am a natural red head is it possible to get blonde highlights or go strawberry blonde?
I've tried dying my hair blonde to make it lighter but it didnt really do anything, and then I've tried to get highlights and yeah that didnt work either. I already went brown and black but never blonde or strawberry blonde or anything and im wantin to cut my hair and dye it a diff. color b/c I want a change.
the problem you are most likely having, is that your hair pigment is very strong. for redheads, it usually is. i have dark reddinh brown hair and i also find it very difficult to change the color of my hair. if gentler lighteners arent working, try using a mild hair bleach in your hair before dying it. that way it will absorb the color dyes better. when a box dye, you will want to keep it in for probably fifty minutes, rather than that suggested thirty-five. or consider have your hair professionally dyed.
