Anyone know about Victorian era jewelry?
I have a piece of jewelry that I've recently inherited, but no one knows exactly where it came from or who made it. There's no stamp on the back. I'm guessing it's about 100 years old because at one time it was an ascot stickpin. Since then, it has been turned into a ring, and now a necklace. It's a three leaf clover with a blue sapphire in the right leaf, an emerald in the left leaf, and a ruby in the top leaf. The edges of the leaf have 5 tiny diamonds around each of them. The stem also has a diamond in it. It looks more like a club to me, like on playing cards. The whole piece is about half an inch tall, and about a half an inch wide. The stones are very obviously hand cut.
It was my great grandmother's, but no one bothered to ask her about it, like how she got it or who gave it to her.
Does anyone else have a piece like this? And if you do, can you please tell me about it?
