What are the special properties of minerals hematite?

I'm superr confused with it. It's for my science minerals ... project.

Hematite, Fe2O3 is a major iron ore (the other two most important minerals are magnetite (Fe3O4) and limonite (iron hydroxide)). Hematite at times resembles to others, but there is so easily distinguished from other minerals hematite: Rub the back of an unglazed ceramic coating. It will leave a red strip bright gray, although the mineral itself may be of steel or red-brown. This test is called a "streak".
