I added a pigeon blood disucs to my tank and my white diamond discus keeps chasing it?
is it racist?
also now the red one is swimming on its side a little - is it going to die?
Discus, like all Cichlids, are territorial. The white diamond had established the entire tank as his domain, and with the addition of a new fish, he is exercising his power. The only way to redraw the territorial boundaries is to completely rearrange the tank-- this will give the pigeon blood a chance to establish himself. Also, if you only have two Discus, the fighting will likely continue, as these are social fish, and they need a stable hierarchy, which needs an absolute minimum of 3 fish... I hope your tanks 50+ gallons...
EDIT: Do NOT overfeed them! Not only will this lead to ammonia issues, which will make them even more aggressive, but the dominant Discus (white diamond) will likely attack the pigeon blood to keep it from eating.
