Is this My Little Pony ok to customize?
I have a big pile of old MLPs sitting in my closet that I'd like to customize, but I don't know if any of them are rare or valuable. The ones I'd like to customize are as follows:
1) Red base color with yellow and blue palm trees on rump
2) White base color, blue and yellow hair, with fire hose and ladder on rump
3) Pink base color, covered in multi-colored bubbles and hearts, with yellow bubbles on cheek. It's a large clydesdale-like model, and it doesn't have a Hasbro stamp, so I'm thinking it might be a fake.
Are these safe to customize?
The first thing about customizing a pony is deciding what shape it is in. If its hair is cut, it has major amounts of rust, cut up or dirty beyond repair, usually this is considered a 'bait' pony and is great to customize.
Without seeing the ponies, its hard for anyone who knows them to determine their rarity or not. That being said, you can identify them (if they're older ponies, which sounds like they are) at this website:

After you've identified them, a great place to research a pony is http://www.mlparena.com .
This is my best guess for what they are:
1) Pina Colada

If this is her, she is a fairly common pony- but, the tropicals are very popular and collected by many people.
2) Chief

If that is him, he's VERY collectible. Many people are searching for ponies from the big brother series, he can go for $20 or more, depending on what shape he is in.
3) That one's got me! I'm not too sure what/who that might be off the top of my head.
