I bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday, I am taking her out to dinner, then when I drop her off I am going to hand her the box, dinner is at this fancy restraunt downtown. I hand her the box and tell her to wait to open it when she gets inside. In it will be a teddy bear with THAT necklace around its neck, and matching blue sapphire earrings, and a note will be attached to it reading "You will always be in my heart"
If the plated piece is truly “gold filled”, and is labeled as such, then gold should equal 1/20 the weight of the finished item.

At Target, there is presently a pendant with thirty 3mm round Sapphires made in 10K gold (not plate) that is selling for under $85.
