, The highest value for a particular gemstone?
rather than per carat, but as a whole, is the hope diamond rated aprx. 200-350 million thats not make it the most valuable jewel in the world, or is there a monster i havent heard of more worth. I know most paid per carat is one of a ruby, But this was not a stone where near the 100-million mark.
2000, De Beers and the Steinmetz Group, presented "The Millennium Star, a 203.4-carat, D-color, internally and externally flawless pear-shaped diamonds, the most valuable diamond in the world. It is currently being exhibited at the Millennium Dome in London.
